I had a business trip to Abu Dhabi and I used the opportunity to bring my family and we chose to stay at St Regis due to the feedback from other families here at SPG. This was for sure a very good choice and both myself, my wife and my three year old daughter enjoyed every single day here. Upon arrival we did get an upgrade to a junior suite which gave us plenty of space and privacy. Also from the arrival our three year old daughter was treated as a princess by all the staff at the hotel. All in all I am very impressed how well prepared the hotel was for families both with regards facilities, food and attention from staff. Everyone goes out of themselves to make sure you and your family have an enjoyable stay.
Also I like to highlight their keen attention to food allergies as well as ability to find alternative solutions even when it seem impossible.
All facilities including kids club, pool area, beach etc was very good. My only complaint was regards the Catch restaurant in front of the hotel. It is listed both in the in-room information as well as the SPG website as one of the hotel restaurants. However to our surprise the restaurant informed us after our dinner that it was not part of the hotel and it was not possible to charge the meal to the room, nor did they give the SPG discount as the other hotel restaurants are giving, nor did we get any SPG points for dining there. Will strongly recommend St Regis to do something about this, alternatively to stop informing that the restaurant are part of the hotel. The only reason we went here was as we thought it was a part of the hotel, so if we knew this we would instead chosen an other seafood restaurant outside the hotel.
However with regards the hotel everything was just perfect and highly recommended both for SPG Platinum members and family visist.
